My skin sucks at the moment. I need to make some major alterations to my lifestyle! Too much booze and junkfood! My plans for losing weight have gone by the wayside because I've been feeling a little stressed and tired what with the time of the year and various shit that's happening at work. Gotta get back on track!

Anyway, so this weekend is Carnival in Spain. Everyone gets dressed up in costumes and goes out having fun in the streets. We bought some ridiculously cheap wigs earlier. So funny!! They don't fit at all but who cares!!

Mac lipsticks from Ebay

Got a nice surprise today! My Ebay shit arrived! Mac lipsticks in Shy Girl, Myth and Angel. Didn't care so much about Shy Girl but Myth= perfect pale beige-y nude and Angel= gorgeous pale pink! :) I like Shy Girl but I was obsessed with getting my hands on the other 2!!! Done and dusted! Yay yay yay!!



Looked like shit so wasn't sure about posting a pic but here we are regardless. I've been trying to tone down on my use of makeup for day to day. NOt every day just some days for variety. I love dark-ass eye makeup but have been trying to wean myself. So here I am without half of my face!

Excited to use Myth for a night-time look. I like to make my own rules up for make-up cos some looks are done to death but I LOVE mega-pale lips with DARK eyes so I will def be using Myth for that purpose! And I'll be in Madrid to show it off- fa la la! Yay!!!

Day trip

Yesterday we went to Bilbao. It's a really nice city and we had a lot of fun. I bought a new camera- yay!!! It's a Canon and was €199 which is great. We went to the Guggenheim which was fun. Loved the abstact paintings and the ground floor mazes but didnt really enjoy the sketches and architectural models. Bit too mathematical for my liking. It was nice to do something cultural and we had a great day. We had a yummy lunch too- lentil soup(yum, I was n love with it) and pork chop. Was yummmmmmy!

My life right now

My life week to week in Spain doesn't sound too exciting.

I work Monday to Thursday from roughly 12 to 9/10 before which I sleep and after which I have dinner and spend the night online. On Thursday nights we usually go to a late bar with a movie theme to sit and drink, watch music videos on the big screen and play drinking games. Friday is spent sleeping/ shopping/ lounging around and maybe having afternoon beers before heading to a few bars that night. Saturday is for doing nothing- maybe some beautification or cleaning of the apartment and the night is for heading to the old part of town for a pub crawl through some of the bars that the young people visit before a club. Depending on the mood, if we last til closing at around 6/7 we find another bar and drink til we're sleepy/drunk. Come home, sleep, go for coffee/beer and chat about the weekend before crashing and doing it all over again!

It's not all stree free; we have a nosy/crazy landlady and our boss isn't exactly sticking to our contracted hours but in all I can't complain. I'm a very up and down person so some days I can't help but dwell on the shitty parts but I always cop myself on and realise that I AM DAMN LUCKY!!

I actually really enjoy it like this! I don't get bored too often. I don't get homesick cos I know I can easily go home and because I talk online with my family. There are hot dudes too.

I know it's kind of a waste that we don't do day trips though but we do intend to. In fact this Saturday we're going to San Sebastian for the day and then the weekend after we're doing our second Madrid weekend because my biatch Edel's parents are flyin over for a couple of days!

It beats the 6 day work weeks of Korea which usually resulted in about 5 days of drinking! Not condusive with good teaching practices! I loved my friends there but the lifestyle sucked. I amn't very healthy now but at least I give my liver a break 3 days a week.

Between now and June when I finish I do intend to make some trips. On our Easter break we're hoping to go a few places in Spain and maybe to Morocco. But let's see what happens!

Upcoming shit that makes me excited

I have one follower but I still enjoy posting on this because you never know who's actually reading. Sometimes I search something really specific and am like thank God for blogs because at least one person will have some info/ pics. It's especiall the case for living outside the US so I will keep writing for anyone who happens to find me!! My camera sucks but I still like to try because I enjoy it!

I have ordered lots of things onlin which I am REALLY excited about!
*Getting some MAC lipsticks. I currently only have one! Have ordered 3 more on ebay.com which probably worked out the same as it would if I bought them in-store! The staff in Madrid's MAC store are very snooty though and it's more convenient online.
*Also ordered a whole load of loose shadows from fyrinnae.com- amazing range of shades. Hope they live up to my expectations.
* I loved the 88 shimmer palette so I've ordered the matt one from coastalscents.com
*From cherryculture.com I've ordered 7 NYX lipsticks, a couple of liners, a red pigment and a MIlani bluch which is meant to be a dupe for the famed NARS Orgasm.

Yay!!

I was also tryin to place another order with cherryculture last night because they're having a sale, I need a foundation for fair skin (the lightest available locally is too dark), and I'm also craving more of those fab lipsticks. I've yet to try the brand but from pervin' round online, I'm in love with NYX. Anyway so it wouldn't work for me! :(

Oh well, will be consoled when a packeage arrives!!
